About Taleium
Taleium is run by Kabooly Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 15653819, at 23 Carisbrooke House, Seven Kings Way, Kingston Upon Thames, KT2 5BS, United Kingdom.
Making an account or using the site means agreeing to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use it.
Accounts
- You have to be at least 18 to make an account.
- An account belongs to a parent or guardian. Children take part with an adult present, on the same device and the same session. There are no accounts for children and no way to make one.
- Keeping your password to yourself is your responsibility.
- Give us an email address that reaches you.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
What the service is
- Taleium writes chapters at your direction, one at a time, from what you say happens next.
- The free plan covers one story with up to 3 chapters.
- Premium is £4.99 a month and lifts those limits, and adds genres, reusable characters and printable books.
- We try to keep it running and cannot promise it always will be. We may change or withdraw features, with reasonable notice where that is possible.
Your stories
The ideas and the direction are yours, and so is what was written from them. Use them however you like. We do not claim ownership of anything you write here, and we store it only to give you the service.
Sharing a story by link, or publishing it, gives whoever has that link permission to read it. You can change that or delete the story whenever you want.
Your stories are not used to train any model.
Writing produced by a model
Chapters are written by a language model. It is given the age band of the story and told what a children's story may contain, and it is reliable, but it is not guaranteed. Read what arrives, particularly for younger children. That is the arrangement this site is built around: two people at one screen, reading each chapter as it comes.
Nothing written here should be relied on as fact. It is a story.
Using it properly
Do not use Taleium to:
- make anything illegal, abusive or encouraging violence
- try to produce sexual content, or anything else unsuitable for children
- harass or impersonate anybody
- interfere with the service or the people using it
- scrape it, or drive it with automated tools
- get round the free plan limits or avoid paying
We may remove content and suspend accounts that do any of this.
Paying and cancelling
- Premium is billed monthly at £4.99 through Stripe. Subscribing authorises that payment each month until you cancel.
- Cancel from your account page at any time, through Stripe's own billing page. Access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.
- We do not refund part months.
- If a payment fails, Stripe retries it. Your access carries on while it does, and ends when the subscription does. Your stories are not deleted, and everything written stays readable on the free plan.
- Prices may change, with 30 days' notice.
Liability
So far as the law allows, Kabooly Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of Taleium, and our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the 12 months before a claim.
Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.
What belongs to us
The Taleium name, the design of this site and the code behind it belong to Kabooly Ltd. Please do not copy, modify or redistribute any of it without asking.
Covers and character portraits are generated for your story by an image model. They belong to you along with the rest of the story.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Carrying on using Taleium after that means accepting the new version.
